Currently, the FCV-R is only a concept, though it’s interesting to see Toyota playing with hydrogen fuel cell technology once again.A practical sedan-type next-generation fuel-cell concept vehicle fueled by hydrogen, a promising source of CO2 emission-free energy that can be produced from a variety of sources and can be easily stored and transported. This concept model is a highly practical fuel-cell vehicle (FCV) that is planned for launch in about 2015.

Posted by: | CommentsHonda is bringing a whole range of transportation solutions to the Tokyo Motor Show, from this plug-in hybrid sedan concept to folding scooters and pod cars.Powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder and a pair of electric motors, the four-seat AC-X features a super-slippery .21 cD thanks to active aero bits (front bumper, side skirts and rear diffuser) and transparent full wheel covers that remain stationary when the car is in motion.Despite such future-think technologies, the AC-X’s powertrain seems remarkably near-term, with a realistic EV-only cruising range of 50 kilometers and a maximum electric-only top speed of 100 kph (62 mph).

Posted by: | CommentsThe Concept_One is anexceptional supercar with a new propulsion system.Combined peak output is claimed to be 1,088 horsepower and 2,800 pound-feet of torque, which Rimac says will rocket the Concept One from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and see it reach an electronically limited top speed of 190 mph.Rimac Automobili developed an unique powertrain which is divided into four sub-systems, each consisting of one motor, inverter and reduction gearbox. Each of those systems drives one wheel, completely independent one from the other. It’s called All Wheel Torqure Vectoring and allowes a new approach to vehicle dynamics.
